Ivan Yeo is an award-winning chef, most notably crowned the Best Asian Cuisine Chef of the Year (2020) by the World Gourmet Summit. Unconstrained by formal culinary training, Ivan’s meteoric rise in gastronomy within his first five years can be credited to his perfectionist curiosity and his bold approach to flavor and aesthetics—qualities refined through years of experience as a visual designer and musician. His dishes reflect this interdisciplinary artistry, marked by visual beauty, rhythm, and unconventional pairings. Yet, Ivan’s multi-hyphenate nature is both his greatest strength and deepest challenge. Constantly navigating between multiple identities, he grapples with being only partially seen or understood by those around him. Through his art, Ivan explores this persistent tension—the fragmented ways in which he is perceived versus his holistic self. An idealist at heart, he remains ever hopeful that someone exists who can truly see him in his entirety.
